Privacy policy · Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit suecrielaard.com, request a free guide, contact Sue, buy a course, or use your learning account.
Questions or requests? Contact support@suecrielaard.com.
Who is responsible for your information?
Sue Crielaard operates Intentional Living at suecrielaard.com, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Sue is the contact for questions about the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information.
What information is collected, and why?
- Email signups: your email address, any name you provide, subscription preferences, and signup or consent records are used to deliver the guide you request and the emails described at signup.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, subject, and message are used to answer your question and provide support. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive health information through the contact form.
- Purchases: checkout collects contact and billing information, the items ordered, payment status, and transaction references to process orders, provide access, answer purchase questions, and maintain business records.
- Learning accounts: account and profile details, course enrolments, lesson progress, and submitted course activities or questions are used to provide and manage your learning. Private journal reflections kept on your own device are not sent to this website unless you choose to submit them.
- Technical information: the website and its service providers may record IP addresses, browser and device information, visited pages, and security or error logs to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, and help prevent spam or misuse.
Email subscriptions and your choices
MailerLite is used to manage the website's mailing list and deliver guide and newsletter emails. Information supplied through its signup forms is processed by MailerLite for these purposes. Depending on the email settings, tracking pixels and tracked links can record email opens and link clicks to help Sue understand which emails are useful. Open tracking is not always accurate.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email, or ask Sue for help at the address above. Unsubscribing does not cancel a purchase or remove course access. Necessary order, account, and support messages may still be sent.
A course purchase or a contact message is not, by itself, a request to receive every newsletter. Any optional marketing subscription is governed by the choice presented when you sign up or check out.
Read MailerLite's privacy policy for details about its processing.
Purchases and payment processing
WooCommerce manages the shop and order records, and Tutor LMS manages course enrolments and learning records. PayPal processes payments made through the PayPal payment options offered at checkout. Payment details are handled through the payment provider's payment system; order records may include a transaction reference, payment status, and limited payment information.
Please do not email card numbers or payment passwords. See PayPal's privacy statement for its handling of payment information.
Cookies, embedded content, and other services
Cookies and similar technologies support sign-in, shopping carts, checkout, saved preferences, and security. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent account or shopping features from working.
Pages may load services such as YouTube videos, Google-hosted fonts, or payment tools. These providers can receive technical information, including your IP address and browser details, when the feature loads or you interact with it. Embedded videos can also use cookies and recognize you if you are signed into that provider.
The shop includes integrations for services such as Mailchimp, Google, and Pinterest. Where their connected features are enabled, these services may process customer, order, or browsing information for email, product listings, or measurement. The information involved depends on the feature and choices presented. Contact Sue to ask which connections apply to your information.
Comments, reviews, and course discussions
If you submit a public comment or product review, the name and text you provide may be visible to other visitors. Email addresses supplied with reviews are not displayed publicly. Course questions and discussion contributions may be visible to the instructor and other learners with access to that course.
Comments and reviews can include technical information used for moderation and spam prevention. Where Gravatar is used, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to that service to display a profile image. See Automattic's privacy notice.
Who may handle your information?
Information may be handled by the providers needed to run the website, hosting and backups, email delivery, course platform, payment processing, and spam or security services, and by people authorized to administer the site or answer support requests. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law, or as necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
Some providers may store or process information outside Canada. Information processed abroad may be subject to the laws of that country and lawful access by its authorities.
How long is information kept?
Retention depends on the purpose. Account and course records are kept to support access and learning; correspondence is kept for support and follow-up; order records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, dispute, or legal obligations. Subscription records may be retained to document consent or honour an unsubscribe request.
Information in backups may remain until those backups are replaced or expire. Contact Sue to ask about the records held about you or request deletion where applicable.
Access, corrections, and privacy requests
You can ask to access or correct personal information held about you, withdraw consent for optional uses, or request account closure or deletion. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve outstanding transactions. Closing an account may affect access to purchased courses.
Email support@suecrielaard.com with your request. Sue may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information. Please do not send identity documents unless a suitable method has been arranged.
If you have a concern, contact Sue first so it can be addressed. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
